Pastured Poultry

PASTURED BROILERS

We are using the Label Rouge method as our guide to raising poultry and have rejected the genetically-engineered Cornish Cross chicken in favor of flavorful heritage breeds. These tasty birds take a little longer to reach full maturity while bypassing the multitude of health problems that can affect the Cornish Cross. The “sacrifice,” if you can call it that, is a slightly smaller breast meat portion on these tender, juicy birds. Our broilers should range from 3-4 pounds, dressed weight.

LAYING HENS

We will have some ready-to-lay pullets available in September. We have Rhode Island Reds, Black Australorps, Naked Necks, Colored Range Hens, Gold Sex-Links, Red Producers, Speckled Sussex, and Araucanas.

    Hi and good morning,

I am interested in 1/2 a pig and have a few questions:
Do you deliver to the Bay Area?
How much does 1/2 pig cost or how much is the price per pound?
Does it include the butcher cost? And if so, in what types of cuts is the pig butchered?

I am excited about your pasture raised and well fed pigs. I grew up with raising pigs/piglets, know the care it takes to raise them and then detaching from them.

    Have a good Sunday,
    Claudia

Hi, Claudia, I emailed you as well. Our pigs are on back order, so to speak. Our next available pigs will be ready around October.

How could I go about ordering some of your fine poultry?
