Family Farming

Last year we decided to stop thinking about growing our own food and really start farming. It has been a hectic few months as we set up our small family farm. It is truly a family affair. Even our 2-year-old helps carry feed buckets!

We began laying the groundwork several months ago—purchasing baby chicks, building fences and getting everything set up. Our decisions were guided by our experience. We had raised many animals in the past, but on a much smaller and more laid-back scale. Once we decided to raise meat for ourselves and for others, we’ve been going full tilt, sunup to sundown. We hope you will enjoy reading about our adventures.
